To showcase the success of the KIDS COUNT Data Center and its users, Children’s Trust of South Carolina announces the first annual KIDS COUNT South Carolina Data Center Award. The award will recognize an outstanding South Carolina user of the data center and highlight the user's impactful work.

The award winner will receive a cash prize of $1,000.

The KIDS COUNT Data Center offers, at no charge, high-quality data that can be used to enrich discussions and inform decisions on ways to secure better futures for all children through a non-partisan, evidence-based lens. This valuable tool is a repository of rich information for what is happening with children in South Carolina and the United States.

Nonprofit and community leaders use the data center to inform their advocacy work, add evidence to grant and funding applications, and support research and technical writing.

Children’s Trust of South Carolina is a partner of the Annie E. Casey Foundation through its KIDS COUNT initiative. KIDS COUNT provides state legislators, public officials, program and service providers, and child advocates with reliable data, policy recommendations, and the tools needed to advance sound policies that benefit children and families.
