Join us Saturday as we welcome a rockin' cookbook author from Brooklyn and unique chile vendors from across PA. Our market vendors will offer up their own sizzling specialties and EFM farmers will showcase their hot peppers and complimentary ingredients. Chile heads from as far away as Hershey and Bowers, PA will be making the trek to Easton to compete in hot pepper eating, salsa and hot sauce competitions! if you're a novice when it comes to heat, fear not, vendors will be offering spicy culinary creations of all heat levels from mild to... well downright flamable! So come on down and sample the salsa, enjoy the sounds of Latin guitarist, Jesse Rivera and experience the wacky wonderfulness of the Easton Farmers' Market. (And afterward head down to the riverfront for Riverside Festival of the Arts!)

Welcome Chile Vendors!
Visit the Hot Pepper Plaza for a scorching array of hot sauces, wing sauce, BBQ sauce, salsa and more! Our own Easton Salsa Co. will play host to the Pepper Plaza welcoming his hot and spicy compadres from all over the Northeast. For some vendors it's all about the HEAT and for others flavor is king. The vendors joining us source the majority of their peppers and ingredients locally, with a huge number of peppers coming from Bowers, PA (home of the Hot Pepper). Len Kozarski of Blackwoods Wing Sauce purchases milk from a local dairy and actually churns the butter for his small-batch handcrafted wing sauce!

Art's fresh Salski is legendary in these parts and his jarred salsa and three varieties of hot sauce are gaing major traction with EFM customers. But have you tried Easton Salsa's "Troy's Salsa Cream Cheese?" It's nothing short of amazing and for those who can't handle the Salski heat this is the PERFECT alternative! Another recently added product is hummus! Stop by and sample this week. Easton Salsa Co. will be set-up in the Hot Pepper Plaza this week - (outside the Crayola Store).
Spreading Joy
A couple of new treats this week....first up, Bourbon Sea Salt Caramels - their smooth milky creaminess are the perfect counter for all the hot & spicy foods at Chile Fest. Next, look for Mexican-inspired chocolate cinnamon caramel cupcake! And for Chile Pepper Fest, Linda's bringing the heat with Chocolate Diablo Fudge and Spicy hot chocolate. hot peppers, fingerling potatoes, a variety of apples, dried soybeans, tomatoes (get 'em while you can) and an assortment of unique and beautiful houseplants.
Beechwood Orchards
In addition to a fabulous selection of apples Beechwood will have hardy Kiwis this week! If you've never eaten these sweet miniature kiwi you're in for a real treat (they're my favorite!). Wait until the fruit gets slightly soft and wrinkled and then pop the whole thing in your mouth - yum!
Blooming Glen Farm
Blooming Glen offers a fabulous selection of Chile Peppers including the "Fish Pepper," an heirloom that originated in West Chester, PA. This unique pepper, used as a secret ingredient by many chefs will be pepper #6 in this weekend's Hot Pepper Eating Contest. It ranks 5,000-30,000 on the Scoville Heat Index.
