Fifth Sunday in Lent

Weekly Chimes

Good afternoon friends and family,
What a glorious Sunday we had last weekend! Full church at both later services... good attendance and discussion for Adult Formation, and a fabulous celebration for Pat and Vaughn Wilson on their 60th anniversary of their wedding.
Tonight we will have the final discussion in our series on Deuteronomy. I will tie together our previous sessions with Dr. Cook and Rabbi Ellen. The final chapters of Deuteronomy are instructive for our common life today. Come out and let's talk!
Sunday we are featuring our members who are headed to Ghana this summer for another teaching mission. The coffee hour is being sponsored by Zach and Janet Neumann. They will be raffling off a couple collectibles from Ghana. We will have special envelopes in the worship bulletins for your financial support as well.  This is one of ODEC's international mission efforts, supported by your outreach commission and budget as well as with individual donations.
I will be your preacher on Sunday at all services in the Church and Ashley will be preaching in the Gathering. There will also be discussions after the 10:30 services for youth and parents about the hopes and desires for our youth ministry programs as we enter a new stage of recruitment.  (And I am planning on joining them at Motorworld for the afternoon of go-carts.)
Keep the faith... but don't keep it to yourself.
