Announcing the China Syllabi Project 2.0

We are happy to announce that the China Syllabi Project has been thoroughly updated and is now available on our website!

Content has been refreshed and updated to reflect the most recent policy developments. Also, one of the biggest updates is in response to your feedback; many of you requested that we make the syllabi  downloadable for easier use. We have now done so! Access the new syllabi here .

For those of you not familiar with this project, t he China Syllabi Project aims to help China-focused professionals expand their knowledge of China beyond their current areas of expertise. We hope these syllabi will also help recent graduates and young professionals transition from academic China studies to a professional environment requiring more specialized knowledge. Finally, these guides aim to break down knowledge silos and get people thinking more holistically about China.

Each syllabus contains targeted readings in English and Chinese and have been prepared by experts in their fields. Each should be able to be completed in one month, with a hour or so of reading per day, five days a week (though many of you will choose to spread this out over a longer  time!) . We have made efforts to ensure that most readings are available online; where the authors have suggested books, it means that they think these are worth buying and owning. Included at the end of each syllabus is a vocabulary list to help with specialized terms from the readings.

好好学习,天天向上

Best wishes,

Nat Ahrens
Executive Director
