Friday Afternoons on the Porch
2 PM - 4 PM

Join us on the Chamber porch to meet
local organizations & artists, who will teach you about the history and wonder
of Chincoteague & Assateague Islands
through interactive demonstrations.

August 21 -  National Park Service
Assateague Island National Seashore
Sheep once roamed freely on Assateague. The village women cleaned and prepared the wool for spinning. They spun the wool and knit it for their families. Come learn how raw wool is transformed into yarn. Touch some historic fleece and see how a spinning wheel works.

August 28 - Knitting Group
September 4 -  Chincoteague Cultural Alliance

Thank you to Chincoteague Island Library for

participating in Friday Afternoons on the Porch!
