From Bryan Rush, Emergency Management Coordinator,
EMS Supervisor, Town of Chincoteague

At the last Eastern Shore Disaster Preparedness Coalition meeting, the membership voted to have a Social Media in Natural Disaster Response and Recovery Course offered by the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center at the University of Hawaii.

This is a federal course that is usually applied through the states; however, in partnering with our Maryland counterparts and many hours of planning, we are pleased to offer this course here on the Eastern Shore.

The course will be held at the Eastern Shore Community College Workforce Development Center Computer Lab 168 on June 16, 2016 from 9AM - 5PM.

With this said, we must have 20 people signed up and ready to participate by May 20, 2016 or the class will be cancelled.

Attached you will find the flyer for the course as well as instructions for obtaining a FEMA Student ID number if you do not already have one. You must obtain this number before you register for the course.
