Annual Awards Luncheon - May 24, 2016

Congratulations to Donna and Tommy Mason, recipients of the
2016 Business Persons of the Year Award
and Nancy Lane, recipient of Citizen of the Year.

Kelly Conklin was recognized for his service to the Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

The Museum of Chincoteague Island was recognized with a donation check from Chamber to benefit their Miles Hancock Carving Workshop Project. The money was raised through the
Easter Decoy & Art Festival's Pre-Loved Treasures Silent Auction.

The Chamber also presented a check to the Town of Chincoteague for grant money received from Virginia Tourism Corporation to rebuild the LOVE chairs at Robert N. Reed Downtown Waterfront Park.

Thank you to all those that attended and to our community partners who made this event a success:

Garden & Gun is now accepting nominations for their annual Made in the South Awards, which are  open to any maker whose Southern-made product will be available through January 2017 and falls into one of our six categories-Food, Drink, Home, Outdoors, Crafts, and Style.
 
The editors and judges will select a winner and three runners-up in each category and one overall winner across all categories. Those selected will be featured in the pages of our December 2016/January 2017 issue, and the overall winner will also take home a $10,000 grand prize.
