Aug 15 - Oct 6 - CNWR Annual Pass Photo Contest -  Calling all amateur photographers! Submit photos of the refuge (taken over the past 2 years) that highlight the best of the scenic landscapes, precious wildlife & small wonders which we all cherish. No photos of lighthouse, ponies, bald eagles, or monarch butterflies.  Refuge staff will select top five photos then local community leaders will pick a winner from these finalists. Winner announced on October 20th and image will be featured on the front of the 2018 CNWR Annual Pass!  C ontest rules & entry form at  www.fws.gov/refuge/Chincoteague .

VTC has launched an Instagram campaign to promote August Craft Beer Month, starting on Aug. 1. Complete details available at vatc.org/craftbeermonth  to toast to all the amazing breweries in Virginia! We are  encouraging consumers to post a photo or video to Instagram in a "toast" style about their favorite Virginia beer, brewery or craft beer experience using the hashtags #ToastVA and #VAcraftbeer, then "pass the mic" by tagging a friend to do the same.  All participants will be entered to win weekly drawings for Virginia is for Craft Beer Lovers swag, and the two breweries with the most engagement will win giant Virginia is for Craft Beer Lovers neon signs.
