Jul 26  - 92nd Annual Pony Swim - The Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company has announced IMPORTANT NEWS!!! This year's pony swim will be one of the earliest in many years. Expected swim time is between 6am and 8am.  This is the plan unless we have some unforeseen event that would force us into a later time. So, plan now and prepare accordingly for an early event. - Seeking Pony Swim Volunteers -  The Town needs volunteers to ride the buses as guides to assist visitors and bus drivers that are not from the Island. They will tell about the day's events, where to go, answer questions, and makes sure bus drivers stay on the designated route.
