Feb 18 - A Taste of Persia. 2pm - 5pm. Island Theatre, 4074 Main Street. Workshops on drumming and whirling, performance by world-renowned musician Amir Vahab & samples of Persian cuisine. Bring a drum to participate in the Drumming Circle & wear loose clothing to join in Whirling. $15 admission. No refunds or exchanges. Feb 24 - Cemetery Clean Up. Museum of Chincoteague Island has partnered with Town of Chincoteague's Cemetery Committee to clean up Christ Union Baptist Cemetery in honor of Black History Month. 9am - Noon. Please bring hedge cutters, clippers, hand saws, rakes & protective clothing. Meet at Christ Union Baptist Cemetery on Willow Street (behind the Carnival Grounds.)
