Choices, Choices! 8/14/16

42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Mary hath CHOSEN that good part........."
I AWOKE this morning, (PTL for AWAKENING again!), with the above title on my heart-
"
CHOICES, CHOICES!"
LIFE is an endless series of CHOICES!!
"
CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHOM YE WILL SERVE......"

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
It even comes down to a DAILY decision:

I awoke, (PTL for AWAKENING again!), one day this past week at the lovely hour of 5 AM!
I felt good, (DO DA DO DA DO/AKA James Brown/, with a full schedule of "things that NEEDED to be accomplished that very day!!
And/or, as mama used to say,
"
THE BEST LAID PLANS OF MICE AND MEN OFTEN GO ASTRAY!"
ENTER MURPHY'S LAW!
Murphy's law is an adage or epigram that is typically stated as:
Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.
First thing/first phone call that morning is the cancellation of Amanda's caregiver for the day!
That prompted a change in plans and I spent the entire morning, (a 65 year old illiterate computerate user), attempting to perform a simple "APP DOWNLOAD."
I had no 7-12 year old child nearby to do this for me!!!
As the day DRAGGED on, I became increasing angry and frustrated as EVERY thing I had hoped to accomplish went up in a puff of maddening smoke.
I KNEW what I needed to do-I just did not WANT to CHOOSE that path!!!
The CHOICE was mine and mine alone.
I even quoted to MYSELF- "IF IT IS OF GOD IT IS EASY!!!!"
But instead of "letting go and letting God," I stewed over my terrible predicament, CHOOSING to feel sorry for myself.
As an aside, I must be honest and inform you that the squirrels have evened the score!!
THEY have figured out a way to hurl their long tailed/rat bodies through thin air and land on MY bird feeder and help themselves.
My soon to be purchase will be an air-powered pellet gun-I REFUSE to be defeated!!!
DOUG 1/SQUIRRELS 1-TIE BALL GAME!

To finish my sad tale, my granddaughter arrived later that day and swiftly downloaded to necessary APP, and I, at least, learned and obtained a valuable tool that will serve me well in the future AND......
I, at least, accomplished ONE of my goals I had set for the day.
Often times, in our lives, WE are offered CHOICES.
WE CHOOSE to work the extra hours in the endless pursuit of money, WE CHOOSE to be in a foul mood when things don't go our way, WE CHOOSE Who and what WE will serve "this very day!"

I CHOSE NOT to run check out WEBMD, but simply CHOSE to believe God and calmly answered that lying deceiver:
