Choirs invited to perform Handel's

Greetings from the Lake Junaluska Singers:

We are writing to invite you to participate in a unique and inspiring experience at Lake Junaluska this Christmas season, 2012. On December 8th at 7:30pm, the Lake Junaluska Singers, combined choirs and orchestra will present portions of Handel's beloved Messiah at Stuart Auditorium at the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center as part of our annual Appalachian Christmas celebration. We would love for your choir to be a part of this exciting program. We are inviting area choirs to sing the chorus selections on this program.

As many of you are making plans for your seasonal music/cantatas, please consider being a part of this special celebration - our 99th year as Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center. We would be so glad to include your choir!

So that we know what voice parts we will have, and to insure space for interested choirs, please complete the attached application form with required information and send in a $65.00 entry fee. This will help defray our costs and reserve your choir's seats on the stage.

The orchestra is going to be a top-notch group, with many players coming from the Asheville Symphony and university faculties from the area. If you've heard the Singers lately, you know the soloists and overall sound will be magnificent! Please join us for this memorable event.

God bless you and your church community,

Keep singing!

Melodie Galloway, Director, Lake Junaluska Singers
