I am really pleased to welcome our newest client, AHRC Nassau.
As an organization, they support more than 2,200 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Nassau County. AHRC Nassau provides a wide array of supports to both individuals and their families. Services include residential services, adult day habilitation and community-based services, vocational and employment services, guardianship, family support services and recreation opportunities.
Their mission is near and dear to my heart - my late brother, Richard, had Down Syndrome and was able to live a productive and full life with the assistance of AHRC Nassau and other organizations. The work that they do is so important.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday of the year. The day represents family and abundance, and I also appreciate the opportunity to reflect on all that has come into my life, and give thanks for what has been provided. The second part of the word "Thanksgiving" is "giving", and I believe that when all is said and done, we find the most satisfaction when we give. I hope that each one of you has much to be thankful for, and much to give!
And perhaps if you are in a giving mood, you will consider a donation to AHRC Nassau! It is a truly worthwhile cause. Go to www.ahrc.org, and click "donate" in the upper right corner.
The entire Hunt team wishes you a blessed Thanksgiving.
Oh, the possibilities!
