The Eighth Sacrament: Coffee Hour!
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Coffee hour is sometimes called the eighth sacrament of the Episcopal Church! It is a time for Christian Fellowship after the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Sundays! The last couple of Sundays we have not had volunteers, we invite you to participate in this ministry of hospitality and consider volunteering to host a Coffee Hour for a Sunday and provide refreshments after the 8am and 10am Services.
We now have a volunteer sign- up sheet in the narthex of the church by the Good Shepherd stained glass window.
Yours in Christ,
Father Justin

Sunday School is fast approaching! We will resume classes on Sunday, September 13, at 9:00 in the undercroft. Our two younger classes will remain the same as last year with one structured for our early pre-k through kindergarten children, and the other geared towards our 1st grade through middle school youth. New this year is the combination of our older teens with the adults in Bible Study. I am especially excited about the potential for insightful, multilayered discussions as we apply our weekly lectionary readings to our lives. Please remember, Christian Education never ends. Just as we know we can learn something new every day, we are most definitely touched by God each and every day of our lives and will never reach a point where He is not asking us to listen to His Message. To celebrate the start of the new school year, we will have a special children's service on Sunday, September 13, at 10:00 a.m. The children will sing an anthem, and Father Justin will bless the children's school backpacks for the upcoming year. We look forward to seeing everyone! Blessings, Amy Seaman
