Father Justin will be leading a reading group on Thursdays: June 15, 22, 29 from 7pm to 8:30pm in the Parish Board Room, on the second floor in the Parish House.
The book The Meaning of the West by former Anglican Priest, Dr. Don Cupitt, will serve as an opening for discussion of what it means to be a Christian today. Dr. Cupitt is now a secularist who believes the ethical teachings of Jesus are the cornerstone of western values but rejects traditional Christianity. As Christians and Episcopalians/Anglicans we will discuss his various points and look more deeply into the value and purpose of being a person of faith in the 21st Century.
