From our Rector
A Unique opportunity for our Parish !

Dear Parishioners and Friends,

This past Tuesday the New Jersey deputation for General Convention met at Diocesan House in preparation for its gathering in Austin TX, July 5-13. This General Convention will decide if we should revise the Book of Common Prayer.  Since elected as an Alternate Deputy, I will have the opportunity to represent our Diocese when called to and participate in discussions at Convention that will lead to the passage of resolutions, including Prayer Book revision.  This gives our parish a unique opportunity to have a voice heard through your rector!

We will have a parish meeting about General Convention 2018 and discussion about your thoughts on the Liturgy and possible changes that may take place with a new Prayer Book.  Here is a link about Prayer Book revision to be considered this year, https://www.episcopalchurch.org/library/article/liturgy-and-music-group-offers-general-convention-two-ways-approach-prayer-book.  Our parish meeting will be held on Sunday, April 22, after the 10am Service in the Parish Hall.  After General Convention we will have a follow-up meeting in our parish hall with other deputies to present and inform our parish of what changes will be implemented and other important issues facing our Church addressed by the Convention.

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Justin

Almighty God, whose blessed Son willingly endured the agony and shame of the cross for our redemption: Give us courage to take up our cross and follow him; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Sunday Coffee Hour!
SUNDAY COFFEE HOUR COULD USE YOUR HELP!
Coffee Hour on Sunday after the 10am Eucharist is a meaningful experience for becoming better acquainted and a great opportunity to welcome those new attending Christ Church. Recently we have not been able to enjoy this gathering regularly as there has been no one setting it up. Therefor it would be greatly appreciated if individuals or groups of people would be kind enough to volunteer. There is a sign-up sheet in the Parish Hall.
