Parishioners and friends, I hope you are all having a restful summer! As we are now in the month of August, I want to send some reminders of important dates for our ministry in preparation for the fall. On Sunday, August 28, we are having a Sunday School meeting with director Amy Seaman, teachers and parents, to review our plans for the upcoming school year. 11:30am in the Rector's Office. On Saturday, August 27, we will be holding our mid-year vestry retreat from 10am to 1pm in the Parish Living Room. God's blessing for a safe rest of the Summer! Father Justin |
**Sunday School planning meeting rescheduled**
The Sunday School planning meeting scheduled for this coming Sunday must be rescheduled for
Sunday, August 28th due to scheduling conflicts with several of our teachers. We want to have the same positive collaboration as we experienced in the spring, and want to have as many parents, teachers, and new teachers present as possible. Please make every effort to attend so we may scaffold the most efficient and productive Christian Education program we can for our children.
I will wait to renew the curriculum until after our planning meeting.
To aid in preparation for the meeting, please email Amy Seaman ( [email protected]) the upcoming school year and age of each child by August 21. Birthdates would also be helpful.
The first day of Sunday School and the Blessing of the Backpacks will take place
Sunday, September 11.
If you would like to volunteer to teach one of our Sunday School classes, please let Amy know. Your service to our children is greatly appreciated.

The adults will resume their Bible Study on Sunday, September 11, in the parish hall. All are welcome! Don't fret about the depth of your Biblical knowledge--I can safely assure you we have all learned much through our discussions, and our cell phones and study Bibles have been pulled out multiple times to aid our discussions. We are all in this together, and the togetherness and support is such a blessing. Please join us for a lovely weekly experience.

The Altar Guild is planning to offer a beautiful red amaryllis bulb for your holiday pleasure. They are a miniature early bloomer with as many as 25 flowers from one bulb. You will receive the large bulb, potted in an 8 inch plastic pot for $20.00 Instructions will be included, but if you have never tried one, you will be surprised at how easy they are to grow. We will be taking orders until September 20th, and would appreciate each order to be accompanied with payment.
Look for information in the Narthex. Altar Guild members will be available after most Masses to receive your order.
Please consider supporting the Altar Guild by purchasing an amaryllis plant for $20.00.
