Happy Summer!
As the school year is quickly coming to a close, summer preparations are in the works. A favorite summer event is Vacation Bible School, that week-long day camp through which enthusiastic and energetic children come together for fun and fellowship as they learn about God's love for them.
Christ Episcopal Church will host our Vacation Bible School during the last week of June, June 27-July 1, 2016 from 3:30-5:30 pm. Each afternoon during the week, our Sunday School students will meet in the sanctuary for an energetic sing-a-long before moving to the undercroft for a lesson. The lesson will be followed by an enriching craft, and then the class will move to the parish hall for dinner. Each child is encouraged to bring a friend, sharing the fun and good works of Christ Church.
To make the week-long event successful, I depend on volunteers, often the children's parents or grandparents, to give helping hands during the craft and to prepare meals while the children are busy with their activities. Supplies for the crafts must be purchased, and we also purchase five days of meals complete with snacks and drinks. If you would like to volunteer during the week, please contact me at

or 226-5334. If you would like to make a monetary donation to support Vacation Bible School, envelopes can be found enclosed in this letter and also in church.
We always have so much fun during our Vacation Bible School. We hope you can be a part it, too!
