Message from Pastor Mike

Ich liebe dich, te amo, and 사랑해 means "I love you" in German, Spanish and Korean. While Morrisa and I were visiting Paris, one of the art pieces we saw was an outdoor mural with the words "I love you" written in 250 languages. It's called Le Mur Des Je T'aime ("I Love You: The Wall"). After we took a selfie at the mural, I tried to find "I love you" in our language. I was surprised by how long it took to find it. I thought it would just pop right out, but it didn't. I had to really search. Searching through all those "I love you's" was a powerful experience. It's a very heart touching experience to search through all those different "I love you's". In the search, I came in contact with our need to express the deepest feelings that we have for each other. No matter where we are in the world, and what language we speak, the need to express love for another is common to all of humanity.
God says "I love you" in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. In one grand event, God expresses the deepest feelings that God has for humanity. One event speaks "I love you" to people of every language. One cross says я люблю тебя, Σε αγαπώ, jag älskar dig....
