Christmas Market in Düsseldorf

Each Year - 22 November to 23 December - Düsseldorf's Burgplatz Christmas Market casts a spell on the city center and turns it into a unique experience for visitors.

 

The Christmas magic is staged at seven locations simultaneously. In the city center, artistically designed theme worlds invite visitors on a trip of exploration. Seasonally decorated huts turn the city into a City Hall Christmas Market winter's fairy tale for the whole family. The best way to see this beautiful city in all its Christmas splendor is to begin your walk at the Schadow-Arkaden shopping mall right downtown where you can admire the city`s tallest Christmas tree with a beautiful sound and light performance.

 

Christmas Shopping in DusseldorfFrom here it is an easy walk to the world-famous Königsallee with all ist luxury shops and a wonderful Christmas illumination. This will take you right into the old town of Düsseldorf (Altstadt) with many little cabins where you can taste specialties including: a typical GermanBratwurst, a local dark beer (Alt) or the famous hot wine (Glühwein) which will warm you up perfectly.
