Miss Widner's News
Dear Students, Parents, Grandparents, and Staff,
Advent is flying right along and I pray that your time is one of preparation. This past Monday the parish offered a chance for Reconciliation, and this coming Monday the school will offer Reconciliation at 9:30 and Noon. You are welcome to come!!
You can fill your hearts with Christmas spirit on Thursday and Friday of this week! We have two Christmas shows for you to attend. On Thursday, we have band, guitar, and show choir at 7:00PM. on Friday, we have Preschool (4 year old), kindergarten and grades 1-4 at 1:00 PM (please note this time) and then again at 7:00 PM just grades 1-4. These shows are such a wonderful way to fill your heart with that spirit of Christmas!!
Next Monday, the teachers will have their NWEA conferences with the K-8 students. They will be going over the Winter results. Then, in the December 20 Wednesday Envelope parents will receive their NWEA information for their child as well as the overall school's information. It will come in a sealed envelope.
In the Wednesday Envelope is a Mad Ants Flyer for January 5th. We have already sent this home once and have been receiving some orders. This is a great opportunity to have a fun, family night! The child's ticket is FREE when you buy another ticket. Please complete the form and turn it into the school office by December 18th. This is a night for our school as well as all Non-Public Schools in our area!!!!
Finally, also in the Wednesday is a flyer on Cyber Safety for Kids. We have Cathie Bledsoe, a parishioner and Youth Educator from the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). Similar to last year, she will be speaking to grades 3-4, 5, and 7-8. She already has spoken to grade 6 in Family Life Values. This year we will have a Parent talk at 6:30 PM in the Media Center. This is such an important topic for parents and we encourage all of you to come hear Cathie speak. Keep your children safe!!!

Happy Advent!
Miss Widner
