Christmas in July
Maintaining the high quality of the Springfield Ballet Company's production of The Nutcracker is a continuing challenge.
Unfortunately, the costs of staging this magical production are only partially covered by the generosity of our corporate sponsors and ticket revenue. Your generous donation helps the Springfield Ballet Company thrive in a world where funding for the arts continues to fall short.
As you enjoy the warmth of summer, you may find it's not too early to have visions of sugarplums dancing in your head. Our skilled dancers and audiences of children and families count on your support to help bring those unforgettable visions to life!
We sincerely thank you for your continued support and for making our Christmas in July campaign a great success!
$1-$99 (Mice, Soldiers & Angels)
$100-$249 (Sweets)
$250-$499 (Snow Queen & King)
$500-$999 (Dew Drop & Flowers)
$1,000 & above (Sugar Plum Fairy & Cavalier)

Educating Our Dancers
Springfield Ballet Company dancers and Trainees have had some really great master teachers and educational workshops this summer!
Elise Thieman -- SBC alum, former dancer with Dance Theatre of Tennessee and current ballet instructor at McLean County Dance Association -- taught ballet on Sunday, June 21.
genHkids Chef Sanjha Tiffman and HyVee Dietician Charlyn Fargo provided a nutritional lecture and demonstration called "Fuel Up for Maximum Performance" to our Company dancers and Trainees on Sunday, June 28. Thank you to genHkids for offering this opportunity to our dancers!
Darby Wilde taught modern dance, and then talked with our Company members about the dance program at Illinois State University, on Saturday, July 11. Darby is an Assistant Professor in Dance at ISU. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from Western Illinois University and earned her M.F.A. in Dance from the University of Michigan. Ms. Wilde danced with Eisenhower Dance Ensemble for seven years, during which she toured regionally and nationally.
Dancers will also have a master workshop in stage makeup with David Mounce, "Purefessional Mentor" for Aveda and Hairstylist/Makeup Artist at Salon V Chicago, on Sunday, July 26.
These great experiences will lead right into our SBC Summer Intensive Workshop Week Two, with Elizabeth Chapman and Hernan Justo, who will be teaching ballet, pointe and variations. SBC Summer Intensive Workshop Week Two is SOLD OUT!
