Christmas in July Comes to Cape Cod Beer July 25th
On Wednesday July 25th, 2012, Cape Cod Beer will release its newest specialty beer named Christmas in July. Each year Cape Cod's only microbrewery releases a version of this beer that has been aged in some way. This year's vintage is their seasonal Strong Ale, called Old Man Winter, which has been aged for 3 months in a recently emptied oak Woodford Reserve Bourbon Barrel. This specialty beer is hand bottled in 500 ml flipper bottles and available at the brewery only. This beer is the only specialty beer that Cape Cod Beer produces during the high season and is highly sought after.
About 400 bottles were produced and will be available at the brewery starting at 10 am on Wednesday July 25th for $10 per bottle, with a 4 bottle limit. Supplies are limited and when it gone, it's gone.
Brewmaster Todd Marcus explains, "This year's Christmas in July has the most amazing malt character with hints of dried fruit, balanced with overtones of one of my most favorite bourbons. It's really a treat!"

Hyannis, the largest village in Barnstable, was a busy harbor in the 18th and 19th centuries, attracting businesses and people to support its maritime industries. Today, it is the urban center of the Cape where year-round residents find excellent health care, schools, and shopping centers as well as restaurants, museums, and sports and entertainment venues. Janet M. Daly documents the past of Hyannis using images from the Hyannis Public Library Association, the Barnstable Patriot, and her own modern photographs. 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM John F.
