PASTOR NOTES: Our Wednesday morning (10:00) Bible study is taking the remainder of April off. We will resume first Wednesday in May and will be studying the Gospel of Mark. Everyone is welcome to attend. Meet in room #116.
*Soon you will be receiving a survey on a yellow sheet of paper concerning topics that you would like to see addressed in a small group, along with any subjects you would like to actually lead. We will take these results and begin planning a whole new series of small groups starting in the fall. See Hilda Paxton for more information.
THE UMW CANDLE BURNING 2016 PROGRAM will be held on May 11, 2016 at 6PM in the Fellowship Hall, hosted by members of Circle #9. The cost of being in Mission in 2016 is .60 per second. You may give in honor/memory of a special someone. Please make checks payable to UMW-FUMC and turned in to the UMW treasurer by May 2, 2016. Forms are available in the Narthex.

There are several ways one can join the church:
1. Through a profession of faith in Jesus Christ & baptism.
2. Through transfer from another denomination or UM Church.
3. Affiliate Membership (for persons who are members of another UMC but who reside in another place a good portion of the year & wish to also be a member of our church).
4. Associate Membership (for those who are members of another denomination under the same conditions as affiliate members). Under affiliate and associate membership you retain membership in both churches.

2016 UNITED METHODIST MEN'S SCHOLARSHIP
The United Methodist Men will offer scholarships of up to $1500 to graduating seniors (class of 2016) who are members of First United Methodist Church and who plan to enroll in an institution of higher learning in the Fall of 2016.
