Valentine's Two Mile Labor of Love
  Sunday February 13, 2011 Noon
Please join the Runners' Club this winter in one of the most fun and unusual races you'll find in Cincinnati. In 2009 we made it more unusual by adding a couple of new specialty categories like Ball & Chain(a male and female runner are tethered together so they run together) and Blind Date(you randomly get a partner). In 2010, we brought back the Costume division (need to run the race in costume) . See what we do in 2011! The race is put on by the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati and proceeds go to support running in the Greater Cincinnati area and the NKU Cross Country and Track team.

Hood to Coast Documentary
One Night Only! January 11, 2011
Hood To Coast, the acclaimed documentary, is coming to theaters nationwide for a Special One-Night Only Screening on January 11th, 2011. Hood To Coast is a feature length documentary about a running world favorite, the world's largest relay race. It is a love-story to the American runner, capturing the story of everyday people dedicated to accomplishing an incredible task. It follows four teams over a roller-coaster of terrain and emotion,
The evening will include not only the feature documentary, but a live trip down the Red Carpet at the Premiere, and a panel discussion with runners, Bart Yasso and Mary Decker Slaney to name a few, as well as the filmmakers and characters from the film.

Tickets are now on sale at over 350 movie theaters across the country including Springdale Cinemas, Regal Deerfield Towne Center, and Florence 14 in the Greater Cincinnati area. You can also search for the nearest theater by zip code at the website, and click through to ticketing. To see the trailer, learn more about the film, and buy tickets in theaters nationwide, visit their website: www.hoodtocoastmovie.com. Tickets are limited, and theaters are already filling up (with some even selling out), so get your tickets early!

Cycle/Run/Walk Across America

Berkeley Lab has designed a transcontinental virtual trip across the United States. Each time you enter your mileage of either running, walking or cycling, they add it to your total and show you exactly what you would see if you had been traveling on the TransAmerica Trail from Yorktown, Virginia to Florence, Oregon. They also provide maps that show your progress and the progress of your friends if they have an account. If you wish, you can form teams to race across the United States. You can check it out at http://exercise.lbl.gov/index.html.
