Every day is Running Day in the Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati, but Wednesday June 6 is National Running Day. National Running Day is the opportunity to promote running as a healthy, easy, and accessible form of exercise.
The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati will meet near the tennis courts at Tower Park in Ft. Thomas Kentucky for a group run to celebrate and promote National Running Day in Cincinnati. There will be routes for those who like the trails and for those who prefer the open road. Afterward, enjoy refreshments compliments of the club. About 190 runners and walkers came out to Armleder Park for Cincinnati's second oldest race. They enjoyed a flat fast 5k course in withering heat and humidity. The top finisher was Harvey Lewis with time of 16:55 followed by Chad Sexton who ran a 17:20 and 2011 top finisher Ryan Woolley was third with a time of 17:39. The top female finisher was Christine Wampach with a time of 19:55 followed by 2011 top female finisher Eileen Brady with a time of 20:12 and Olivia Connaughton with a time of 20:27. The club has three group runs to get you ready for the races during the summer.
The Northern Kentucky Sunday Group run meets at 7am at Personal Impact Training at 71 Cavalier Blvd Florence, Ky 41042. Call Ryan Smith at (859) 652-3839 or email ryan@personalimpactfitness.com for more information. There is also a Sunday run that meets at Miami Whitewater Forest. Meet at the Visitor Center at 8:15am and run starts at 8:30 am. Please join us. All paces are welcome.Note:All vehicles entering Hamilton County District Parks must have a valid Motor Vehicle Park Permit($10 annual; $3 daily). On Wednesdays, Laura Wagner currently leads a group at Hyde Park Square to get ready for the Hyde Park Blast. It meets at 6:30 PM near the fountain at Hyde Park Square. Contact Laura for details.

Begins June 14th
The second longest running contribution to the Cincinnati Area running scene! The 45th Annual Summer Cross Country Series returns to Valley View Nature Preserve by Pattison Elementary School in Milford. There will be 7 -- 3.1 mile races over a 1.5 mile loop starting at 7pm on Thursday, June 14, June 21, June 28, July 5, 12, 19, ending on July 26.
No entry fees! No awards! Just the satisfaction of a hard workout with your friends.

6:30 PM at The Rookwod Bar and Restaurant
The next RCGC Board Meeting is tonight at The Rookwood Bar and Restaurant in Mt. Adams. Meeting starts at 6:30pm. All members are invited to attend. If you wish to purchase dinner and drinks, you will need to open a separate tab.
If interested, there will be a short group run before the meeting. Meet in front of Rookwood at 5:30 PM.
