The Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati would like to thank the volunteers for doing a terrific job at the club's Waterstop at Mile 22. Because of them, the waterstop and the Marathon was another success. Many long time volunteers commented that it was a rocking mile 22 waterstop. There were numerous compliments about the job that they did. The best one that I heard was can they come back next year as they were terrific whether they were handing out water, cleaning up cups, cheering or inspiring runners to keep running the last few miles.
If you have any comments, suggestions, and thoughts about how we can do better next year at mile 22, let the club know. |

The 2011 Runners' Club of Greater Cincinnati Presents WeightWatchers Walk-It Day 5K on Sunday, May 22 at 10:00 AM at Lunken Playfield is turning out to be a larger club event than previously thought. As a result, the club needs about 25-30 volunteers to help out with registration (12-15 volunteers), course sentries(5-10 volunteers), handout water(5-10 volunteers)and post race(5-10 volunteers). It would take 3-4 hours of your time. The jobs are easy and you will get fabulous club merchandise for your efforts. Volunteering is one of the easiest ways to get to know the club and the people in the club. Please let us know whether you can help by using the online volunteer form or emailing us at cincinnatirunning@gmail.com. If you can only help out early, we can use you . If you know that you can only help out late, we can use you.If you have a preference, let us know.
