Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with your favorite Birmingham Cantina. Enjoy music on the patio from DJ Ulises,  Southern Choice,  and  Erath Old , as well as  margarita and beer specials all night long.  Tickets are  $5 at the door.


 

Meet and Greet With The Hammers

The Hammys is an awards-style celebration of Birmingham revitalization, bringing together local leaders and developers. Emcee Hatton Smith of Royal Cup Coffee will serve as host for the evening and announce 11 key awards.

Join PreSchool Partners as they corral favorite local food trucks near Carmike Cinemas at The Summit, allowing guests to sample from their menu while raising funds and awareness for the organization.

 


Kentucky Derby "Watch, Wager & Win Party" 
May 7, 9 a.m.- 11 p.m.
Birmingham Race Course

Enjoy the Kentucky Derby and place bets on some of the world's best race horses. Gamblers of all skill levels are invited to place bets, but must be over 19 years old to enter. Admission is free, and gates will open at 9 a.m. Enjoy live greyhound and food and spirits from Earl's Sports Bar and Grill.

 

Pup Crawl
May 7, 1-5 p.m.
Cahaba Brewing Company

Grab your  furry pal and take part in the dog photo booth, activities, and contests all while raising a beer to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. The T.A.R.A. van will also be on hand with adoptable dogs, gift shop items, and exclusive Pup Crawl merchandise. A $10 donation earns entry into the event, as well as one entry for a chance to win a pair of Adele tickets.

 

St. Jude Field of Dreams
May 7, 6:30 p.m.
Grand Bohemian Hotel- Mountain Brook

Enjoy an elegant dinner, cocktails, and musical entertainment by Razz Ma Tazz while raising awareness and funding for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through live and silent auctions. This year's celebration is sponsored by Merrill Lynch.


 

The Music of Pink Floyd with The Machine

The Alabama Theatre

After a spectacular sold-out performance last season, The Machine, hailed as the most faithfully replicated sounds and experience of Pink Floyd in concert, returns. The unforgettable night will include the Wish You Were Here album, performed in its entirety, Pink Floyd favorites, and laser effects from the same company used by Roger Waters on tour.
