Red Wing Earns the Minnesota Clean Energy Community Award

Spring Creek Road-Highway 61 Project
The Spring Creek Road-Highway 61 construction project is big, so you'll want to know what's happening and when. Stay on top of it by signing up for email updates from the project consultants.

Would you like to get your news in person? City staff will hold public meetings every Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Public Works Building , 229 Tyler Rd. North. The project contractor, City of Red Wing, Goodhue County, and MN Department of Transportation will all be there. You could be, too! First meeting is Wed. April 19th.
Property Valuation Workshop
Did you receive your 2019 property valuation notice from Goodhue County? Most landed in mailboxes this week, and lots of residents have questions this year. Bring those questions to a workshop on May 3 at 6 p.m. at City Hall. The workshop will explain Goodhue County's process for valuing properties, including yours. Tell your neighbors; if you've got questions, they probably do, too.

Speak Up!
The Human Rights Commission welcomed more than 50 residents to the Free Speech Community Conversation event April 12th at the library. Community members came to ask questions specific to local issues, and lawyers answered questions on topics such as bullying and public meetings. Look for more events this fall from the HRC. Local discussions help all of us see things from another person's point of view. The video will be available Wed. April 18.
Red Wing Talks Details on Climate Change
In Red Wing's community survey last fall, 85% of residents said the City should recognize global climate change in its policies and actions. That's just what the City Council and Sustainability Commission continue to do. On April 2, they held a Climate Change Workshop at the Colvill Park Courtyard to talk about how we're affected locally by climate change and what we can do about it. Watch the video to learn more.
