Fireworks and You
After reviewing the Fireworks By-law, the City has approved changes to personal fireworks use. The by-law changes will be in effect later this year. Residents can use short-range fireworks on residential properties on Victoria Day, Canada Day, Diwali and New Year's Eve. Short-range fireworks travel less than 3 m (10 feet) when set off (e.g. fountains, wheels, ground spinners, sparklers). Permits will no longer be required. Rocket-type fireworks will be banned. Taxi, Limo, Ride-sharing Review

New players (ride share companies like Uber, etc.) are operating in Brampton without a local licence. The purpose of the review is to create a level-playing field for operators, while keeping public safety and consumer protection as key priorities. Your comments can help shape new regulations. Take the survey August 2 - 31.
