Clyde Theatre Renovation Underway

Clyde Theatre owners, investors and supporters joined Mayor Tom Henry recently in celebrating the start of construction on the once-abandoned Clyde Theatre. Plans for the theatre include a 2,200 capacity, general admission, multi-functional performing arts and special events center that will draw visitors from throughout the region to the south side of Fort Wayne.
300-Foot Mural Welcomes Visitors to Arts Campus

The latest efforts to provide a welcoming entrance to our community are now underway. Local artists Jerrod and Kara Tobias are painting a 300-foot long mural along the underpass at Clay and Main streets. The mural is part of Community Development's efforts to transform our city's most well-traveled corridors and gateways and welcome people to the community.

Bike Share Gets Technology Upgrade

Fort Wayne Bike Share is getting a big upgrade! All 30 bikes are now equipped with new bluetooth ring lock technology that opens at the touch of a button. This new locking technology will make riding Fort Wayne Bike Share simpler and quicker.
2018 Façade Grant Applications Now Online

Interested in applying for a Commercial Façade Grant? The 2018 application is now online and will be accepted from November 13, 2017 through December 16, 2017. The Façade Grant program helps businesses transform their buildings' exteriors and revitalize commercial corridors in the heart of the city.

Fort Wayne UNITED Hosts Block Party

Hundreds of people enjoyed Fort Wayne UNITED's Summer Celebration Block Party recently held at the Renaissance Pointe YMCA. Fort Wayne UNITED gave away 800 backpacks filled with school supplies and dozens of community organizations provided games, food and fun! Fort Wayne UNITED is a mayoral initiative focused on enhancing opportunities for success for black men and boys.
