Road Repaving Nears Completion

Reece Construction is entering the home stretch of the 2018 pavement preservation project. Next week, crews will be repaving West Avenue from W. Burke Avenue to W. Cox Street, E. Haller Avenue from Broadway Street to West Avenue, and Cox Street. Please be aware that there may be full and partial lane closures with traffic control or detours in these areas.

After unforseen delays, WSDOT contractors are expected to pave the SR 530 intersection with Highway 9 to the first roundabout on Division Street overnight next week. The roadway was milled by crews from Reece Construction on Thursday, August 2 in preparation for the new surface.

Although the work will be done at night, there may still be delays through the construction area.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid these area if at all possible. If you must travel through the repaving area, please follow the detours and pack your patience.
