Bleeding Heart bloom
Happy Valentine's Day! Whether you are single, partnered or something in between, Golden is sending out big love to its residents today. You are the heart of our City, and we love you for it! Even if you don't celebrate Valentine's Day, we hope you'll take a minute this week to appreciate all there is to love in our wonderful community.

Keep reading for more information on what's happening in Golden. And just a reminder: Golden administrative offices will be closed next Monday, February 20, in observance of President's Day, but the Golden Community Center will be open as usual.

Have a wonderful week!

Linking Lookout (US 6 & 19th St. Interchange)

A drainage board is being placed on the lid ahead of Styrofoam sculpting and placement of the special light weight dirt (magic dirt). The Styrofoam is used to create berms and cover in some areas without adding weight.

The drainage work in the northeast quadrant continues, as the new concrete channel is poured. There has been some 6th Ave trail use from the closure up the hill to the south and then over to West Campus Drive via a social trail. This use will be blocked during the drainage work. There will also be some lane closures on US 6 to allow safe access for concrete trucks.

Pre-cast panels placement continues on the walls under the bridge.

Excavation continues on the remaining US 6 mainline on the south side of the lid. Soil nail walls will be added as the excavation continues.

Watch the Linking Lookout web page for more information.

There is a construction viewing area in the northwest corner that can be accessed from Parfet Estates Drive, and will be an excellent location to view ongoing work. Please park legally.
