Anderson Parkway Phase II Project Complete!
The reconstruction of the Anderson Parkway area near the Sea Discovery Center is complete. The project, which included the repair of the Port's bulkhead, a stormwater retrofit, a sewer force main upgrade and the paving of the parking lot has wrapped up. The project took a few weeks longer than anticipated due to equipment delivery delays and adverse weather conditions. The public parking lot is newly landscaped, paved and striped. There are now a total of 43 parking stalls with 17 designated for the Port and 26 designated for public parking. An increase of 9 car spaces! There are also 2 spaces for motorcycles. The City appreciates your cooperation and patience throughout the course of this project.

Arendal Apartments
If you have driven by Viking Avenue lately you may have noticed some new development activity occurring.  I'm talking about the area located just north of the recent development called Vikings Landing.  This new project is called Arendal Apartments and it is a 91 unit apartment complex development on a total of 6.67 acres including a Type IV wetland.  It will have four apartment buildings, each with between 11,000 to 12,000 square feet in building area, a club house, 174 parking spaces with approximately 24% of parking stalls to be under building, trails and other resident recreation amenities.  See the city's website for a presentation given to City Council under the Mayor's Report on March 8th and a Staff Report that details the proposal and its compliance with the Poulsbo Municipal Code.  If you have more questions please contact Marla Powers, Associate Planner in the Planning & Economic Development by phone (360) 394-9737 or mpowers@cityofpoulsbo.com
