Become a confident and successful tree pruner! The Poulsbo Tree Board is pleased to present several different pruning classes in  March. You may take any or all of them. Instructors will include ISA Certified Arborist Kevin McFarland and Bess Bronstein and Poulsbo Tree Board members. These classes are free, but for planning purposes, please pre-register by calling 360-779-9898.

Raab Park Community Garden P-Patch Plots
Did you know that Poulsbo has gardening plots available at the Raab Park Community P-Patch? The P-Patch is a partnership between the WSU Extension Kitsap Master Gardener Program and Poulsbo Parks and Recreation. The P-Patch has 51 sunny garden plots in three sizes: 10' x 20', 10' x 10', and 8x4x2' plots for $32 per year. Gardeners must use organic gardening practices, products and materials, and must contribute six hours of community work in the garden's common areas. Returning gardeners from 2015 have until Feb 28 to renew their plot for 2016. Construction Update
Construction Nearly Complete on the 6th & 9th Ave Pump Stations
The 6th Ave and 9th Ave Sewer Pump Station Improvements are almost completed. The pumps are up and running. The contractor is working on final punch list items. The Public Works and Parks Department are looking into adding a second set of swings to Lion's Park before the project is closed out. Final items should be wrapped up in February.
2016 Construction Projects
Design work is underway for two construction projects scheduled for 2016 along Hostmark Road. One project will provide repairs to water mains between Caldart Ave and SR 305 and the second project will be for pavement restoration along the same route. Construction on the water mains will begin in June and the pavement project will begin as soon as the water mains work is completed. All the work for both projects should be completed by September.
 
Other projects scheduled for construction this year include the Lincoln Well #2 Manganese Water Treatment Plant, the Viking Ave PRV Installation, the Liberty Bay Pump Station Upgrades, and the Poulsbo Village Pump Station Upgrades.  North Kitsap Lacrosse: Boys and Girls Grades 6-12

Come play the fastest sport on two feet! Lacrosse is the game of skill and swiftness you've been wanting to play, and the premier sports for those wishing to challenge themselves while experiencing and honoring the oldest game in North America! Boys Pre-Season Team Meeting is Tue, Feb 23 rd at the Poulsbo Recreation Center. NEW- Lacrosse for grade 3 & 4 is also now available! For more information, call 360-779-9898.
 
North Kitsap Sailing Team: Grades 8-12
Spring season completion is in Doublehand and Team Racing. No previous sailing experience is required!
