Concerts in the Park
National Night Out is Tuesday, August 7
Come out for free family fun on August 7, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Signal Hill Park, 2175 Cherry Avenue.

This is an annual event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. There will be refreshments, raffles, games, fire trucks, a bounce house, face painting and more.

28th Annual Signal Hill Car Show
Sunday, August 5
Signal Hill Park
8 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Join the Signal Hill Police Dept. and the Sultans Car Club of Long Beach for the 28th Annual Car Show, benefiting Signal Hill youth groups. 1975 and older show-quality trucks and cars will be on display. Awards will be given at 2 p.m. For more information, call 626-407-5270.

Summer Selfie Contest

We want to see you out and about in Signal Hill! Like us on Facebook and send us your best summertime selfie in the City! Every two weeks, from July 1 through August 31, we'll select one selfie to win a Summer Prize Pack! Learn more.
Library Construction Update
Construction continues to move forward on Signal Hill's future public library! Here are just a few of the activities that will take place over the next month:
  • Continue placing the 2nd floor metal deck
  • Continue work on the library's sewer system
  • Finish welding of the structural columns and beams
  • Complete electrical conduit installation

Greenly Art Space
The City of Signal Hill is proud to feature the non-profit Greenly Art Space as part of its Spotlight on Small Business program. Greenly Art Space is dedicated to enriching lives and cultivating community through art. The space hosts contemplative art shows and offers a space for art-making, mentoring, and art therapy. 

Question of the Month:
How Do I Dispose of My Household Hazardous Waste?
You can safely dispose of household hazardous waste for FREE at EDCO's Recycling Center on July 28 and August 11, from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Acceptable items include aerosol cans, electronic waste, used oil/filters, batteries, paint, gasoline, and more. EDCO Recycling Center is at 2755 California Avenue, Signal Hill. Contact EDCO at 562-597-0608 for a full list of acceptable items.
