Sumter's FEMA Class Upgraded

Community Rating System

The City of Sumter's FEMA Community Rating System has been upgraded to Class 7, due to various floodplain management activities implemented. This is the second change in 5 years to our community rating and allow for residents a 15% discount on flood insurance premiums.

Be a Hero -- Save lives by donating blood while supporting your favorite first-responder agency. Held annually in partnership with the American Red Cross, each donor will receive a free T-shirt and a coupon for a free haircut at participating Sports Clips locations. Walk-ins are welcome. TriSumter Triathlon

Saturday, October 20, 2018

TriSumter starts with a 300 yard pool swim in the outdoor heated pool at the City of Sumter Aquatics Center. It will be a stagger start with one person starting every ve seconds. There will be a 17 mile bike course and a 5K running course that will travel throughout the Sumter area. All of the events will start and end at the City of Sumter Aquatics Center.
