With this year's Cinco de Mayo Mercado quickly approaching, here's a look at just a handful of entertainment that will be on display on May 3. This year's headliners feature a mix of traditional dance, instrumentation and music in the Mission District.

Featured artists at Cinco de Mayo Mercado
Work from Lalo Alcaraz, Juan Solis, and more will be on display
We're very happy to share a list of featured artists at this year's Cinco de Mayo Mercado. Featuring art pieces from Latin American artisans from across the region, this year's event will feature an art gallery and live art demos throughout the day.

Work from Mario Lopez, Manny Cuchilla, Angel Acordagoitia, Emilia Cruz, Irene Carranza, Mario Sibaja, Lilia Ramirez, Estefania Gomez, Ismael Cazarez, Benjamin Botello, and Alfredo Gomez will all be on display.
Asian Pacific American Festival begins May 7
Festival celebrates Asian Pacific American culture
A celebration of Asian Pacific American culture, the Asian Pacific American Festival begins next Monday on May 7 through May 26. The festival consists of workshops (including Tai Chi, martial arts, floral arts, Cantonese opera, and Scholar for a Day), film screenings, performances and a family day at the Playhouse Plaza. All these events are free.
