Clapp Communications had a great time at the  PRSA Maryland  Best in Maryland awards! We won Best Advertorial for work with  Keswick  and Top Editorial for our work on behalf of  Volunteers of America Chesapeake .

 
Did you see lacrosse player Paul Rabil's visit to Jemicy School on WJZ last month? The Rabil Foundation has partnered with Jemicy for the past three years providing the school's equipment, uniforms and scholarships to students participating in sports and co-curricular activities. Jemicy's Upper School students were fantastic in their production of The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee, which was their first performance in the new Tomlinson Theater! Learn more about Jemicy's production on WJZ and PatchJemicy students also gave back to the community this Thanksgiving with their  Food Drive! The students collected 1,092 items that were distributed to 200 East Baltimore families by the  Living Classrooms Foundation.  Check out the photos on WJZ, Patch and City Biz List.

 
Congrats to Jemicy School science teacher Emily Stanley for receiving a Fulbright Distinguished Award teaching grant to conduct research in New Zealand! Read more on Emily's honor in City Biz List.

Volunteers of America Chesapeake worked hard to raise funds for supportive housing on Giving Tuesday! On that global giving day, WJZ aired a success story from  Volunteers of America Chesapeake's   Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program. The Annapolis Partnership hosted their Launch Party at BAROAK for over 100 local Annapolis attendees, featured in Eye on AnnapolisLoews Annapolis also offered an awesome Cyber Monday deal for a 20% discount on regular rates. Big news for Howard Bank this month! Howard Bank successfully acquired the former Patapsco Systems. Learn about the conversion and new locations here Howard Bank President and CEO Mary Ann Scully also attended the Baltimore County Public Schools Leadership Summit for Young Women, donating a strand of pearls to encourage the young women to pursue leadership roles! Stratford University has recently been named to the Military Times' list of Best for Vets: Colleges 2016. Stratford ranks 46th nationally based on a survey that assesses veteran and military student services and rates of academic achievement.
