Spotlight of Business for April

Brazil Pizza Hut is proud to be selected as Clay Counties Chamber of Commerce's April spotlight. This unit has been proudly led by Kimberly Huffer for the last 25 years. Kim has been a positive influence not only to her team, but within the community as well. Her unit has helped in buying turkeys and ham for those in need over the past several years during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. They have also donated to Toys for Tots and are currently giving money each month to support the local Humane Society. They also donate left over buffet pizzas to House of Hope every week.

Pizza Hut offers a fundraising opportunity to help support the community as well. Local churches, schools, clubs, and various organizations are currently taking advantage of these fantastic ways to raise funds. There have been numerous successful fundraisers held at this local Pizza Hut. The unit raised nearly $1,000 for Riley's Children's Hospital, $600 to help fight cancer for Kaleb, and rose over $500 for MS. The local unit also supports the World Hunger and Relay for Life Campaign.

The Book It program is also a fun way The Hut gives back to our youth. Schools that participate follow simple reading guidelines in the classroom. Once the student reaches the goal, they're awarded a free Personal Pan Pizza. Upon receiving the free pizza, we also congratulate the student and make it a big deal for their accomplishment.

This unit is also full of volunteers that help among the youth of our community. Brandon Weese, Rusty Quigly, and Ron Kiernicki all volunteer their time to help coach youth leagues in Clay County. These employees are just a glimpse of how this unit and its employees give back to the community.

If you are interested in starting a fundraiser for your group, mission trip, organization, school, etc. or wish to participate in the Book It Program; please contact Brazil Pizza Hut at 812-443-4141. Kim or Ron would be happy to assist you.
