Most of the proceeds from our art auction will help rescued child soldiers in Uganda to restart their lives. Kidnapped in Uganda during the war, their families were murdered and they were forced into slavery as child soldiers. In March, 2015, 250 of them were freed through Unicef negotiations. Clayathon leader Nan Josephson is working with Africa Teach Foundation, a nonprofit trying to raise $35,000 to help build a trade school where these kids will be provided food, counseling and medical and educational services. Meet Guest Artist Laura Tabakman
Laura will present a "Taste of Tabakman". Her six presentations
will include both "hands on" and video demonstrations about surface designs, transfering digital and other images
onto polymer and fabrics, and tips about using transluscents.
