Cleanse Thy Way? 5/18/15
1 Corinthians 4:14-16 (KJV)
14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.
As I "fixin" to go to bed last night, I received a phone call from Bubba's oldest son, Chandler Drucker.
As you may well know, EVERY Southerner has an least one son named Bubba!
He is 16 years old and lives out of state, and as such, I rarely see or hear from him.
He has recently come to a POWERFUL awakening in Christ and is diligently pursuing a loving relationship with our Lord and Savior.
He is an honor student, plays the trumpet well (like his father), and the last I heard from him, was planning on studying dentistry.
A few weeks ago he called and asked me, "Zada, how do I prepare a sermon!!??
He had been asked to lead and possible become a small youth group and needed to write a sermon.
My advice to him was to PRAY!!!!
He did PRAY and last night called to read me the following sermon-his very first!!!
The Bibles did and does proclaim:
Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)
6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
I PRAY that all you mothers and fathers take hope that God IS able to change and
SAVE your children and grandchildren-no matter how far or near they reside.
Romans 4:17 (KJV)
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

How can my life and my way be kept pure?
I take the BIBLE and apply it to every area of MY life and conduct!!!!
That is the way to be "cleaned up" spiritually and morally.
But what does this mean???
Psalm 119:9-16 (KJV)
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.
16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.
To "MEDITATE" means:
"
to chew the cud, to respect, to SUBMIT to God's Will and God's Ways."
His Ways are ALWAYS the best!!!
As said in Matthew 5:14-16:

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
If WE make an INWARD change, and WE are taking the Bible and applying it to everything in our lives and conduct, we are now sanctified and separated from the rest.
We are a minority.
But let's say, we reach three friends and they become sanctified and they are now living for God and showing positive impact in there lives well-
If this ratio continues the other people become the minority!!!
If we make an INWARD change we can make an OUTWARD impact on people's lives and spread the Gospel.
What I do not understand is IF we are truly changed, what are doing about the sin we've done before?
How can we say we are SAVED if we don't bury our old life????
Why are we running in circles?
But lost people aren't just lost in sin, they are lost to the point they do not want to be found.
They do not want to be "found" because they "THINK" they are happy living however they want to live.
They are so happy living in sin that they believe WE Christians are no fun!
They think that "being a Christian" is pure fiction because to them, HAPPINESS is NOT living according to God's Word but however one chooses to live.
I have a good friend who does not agree with the Bible because he wants to live the way he wants to live.
He doesn't believe the Bible is written to protect us, but to keep us from having a happy life."
