Lauri Jo will be holding four clustered charge conference sessions this year on
October 15, October 22, November 5 and November 12. These will each be at 3:00 pm and will include an opening prayer, a hymn, a devotional and a time of sharing where each congregation will have two minutes to share the three most exciting ministry happenings they have experienced this year.
You will not meet separately to conduct the charge conference business. All items of business should have been decided on by your committees before your charge conference date and will simply be presented as a whole for a vote of approval. You will need to provide those from your congregation who are in attendance a copy of the items needing approval (officer list, salary, housing allowance, lay servant recommendations, ministry candidate recommendations, etc.). Lauri Jo will invite those in attendance to review the provided documents and vote approval of these items of business.
We have scheduled these charge conferences primarily using the same clusters that met together last year.
Please download and check this schedule, and contact us immediately if you need to switch to a different date.
We need volunteers to host each of these clusters. Please contact us if you are willing to be the host church.
The charge conference forms are available online
HERE. We will only distribute hard copies of the forms on request. Please use THIS YEAR'S forms as some of them have changed.
Further information about charge conference procedures will be shared at a later date. For now, if you have any questions about a specific form, please feel free to contact Betty in the district office.
