"Empower Cleveland's Youth" Event
July 18, 2016 



Steve Sanders, the Metro Cleveland FCA Director, along with Robert Kilo, the FCA State of Ohio Director, attended the "Empower Cleveland's Youth" event. The event was 
hosted by Congressman Renacci and Senator Sherrod Brown. The purpose was to create  partnerships with other civic leaders to inspire and nurture Cleveland's youth to become effective community leaders through training and mentorship. 

*FCA will be a part of this initiative.
  
Former FCA Athlete starts his own sports camp!
Steve Sanders spoke at Zach Dorazio's 1st Annual sports camp on July 20, 2016. Steve spoke on the importance of developing a relationship with Christ at an early age, Character Matters and Education First. The youth there were between the ages of 6 to 14yrs old. The event was held  at Cuyahoga Hts. High School, where Zach is an alumni and FCA grad. It is good to see one of our own continue to build into the next generation.

Baylor University

Baylor University has been under some turmoil lately. Their head coach, university president and athletic director were all fired due to multiple sexual assault charges by players and coaches. 

Steve Sanders, as an NFL Ambassador of the NFL College Prep program,  was asked to come in and teach the football team on Character. His message was entitled "Character Over Talent". Steve was able to share Christ through his personal story.
Cleveland Browns Coaches Clinic 
entitled 
"Coaches Connect"

      

This was the first event of the new launch by the Cleveland Browns. The mission is to develop youth coaches and to equip them to be better coaches for student-athletes ages 5-13yrs old.

Steve gave a message that was titled "Character Over Talent For Coaches". Teaching coaches how to teach character to their players at the youth level.

Meet the new faces at 
Cleveland FCA

     Meet Steve Lucas!  Steve   joined the Metro Cleveland FCA Board in July 2016. Steve is a VP of Business Banking for Huntington Bank. Steve's background provides him with skills and knowledge that will help the Cleveland Metro Board as we move forward to grow FCA in the Greater Cleveland area. We are very excited to welcome Steve as part of the FCA Team and to see him use his gifts and talents to further God's Kingdom throughout Cleveland, by reaching coaches and young athletes to a come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.
