Celebrate Cleveland Metroparks 95th Anniversary by enjoying beautiful summer weather and music on Thursday evenings this July at the "Stinchcomb Summer Concert Series" at Stinchco
mb-Groth Memorial in Rocky River Reservation in Fairview Park.
William Stinchcomb founded Cleveland Metroparks in 1917 with the belief that "Man is an outdoor animal" and "We must have these great outdoor rest places close to a great industrial city...and as working days grow, we must find healthful ways of filling leisure time." Through his vision, the Park District has continued to serve the people of Greater Cleveland for 95 years, while preserving the natural world for generations to come.
Everyone is welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs for the free evening concert series, featuring:
Geezecats - rock n' roll & doo-wop
July 5 · 6 p.m.
The Oolong Guru's - country, rock and bluegrass
July 12 · 6 p.m.
Abbey Road - Beatles cover band
July 19 · 6 p.m.
Brigid's Cross - contemporary mix w/ Irish twist
July 26 · 6 p.m.
Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial Scenic Overlook is located off Hogsback Lane in Rocky River Reservation, between Valley Parkway and Riverside Drive in Cleveland.
Parking is limited at Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial. Overflow parking is at Scenic Park/Emerald Necklace Marina. A shuttle will be provided. And, concert-goers are encouraged to ride their bikes from the Marina parking lot to Stinchcomb-Groth Memorial.
The "Stinchcomb Summer Concert Series" is sponsored by Fairview Hospital.
