You're Invited: Miss Representation

Miami University presents Ms. Jennifer Siebel Newsom, producer of the documentary Miss Representation, on Tuesday, February 7, 6:30-8:45 pm, Shriver Center Heritage Room.

Miss Representation premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival and aired on OWNL Oprah Winfrey Network in October. The film explores how the media's misrepresentations of women have led to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power and influence. Ms. Siebel Newsom's remarks will precede a screening of the film.

The lecture and film screening are sponsored by Miami University Women in Business, Panhellenic Association, Women's Center, Harry T. Wilks Leadership Institute, Center for American and World Cultures, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program.
