We're nearing the halfway point of our fall semester and the weather is starting to cool down... but our calendar is just starting to heat up! Be sure to check out our online calendar so you don't miss anything!

Have a fun and safe Fall Break!

We hope everyone has a fun and safe fall break! Take the time to get some much needed rest and relaxation and gear up for the rest of the semester!

Some tips to remember before leaving:
  • Don't forget to lock up your dorm or house (including windows)!
  • Remember your cell phone charger
  • Unplug any electronic appliances
  • Lower your window blinds

Have a great break!
Update: March of Dimes Kickball Tournament
March of Dimes Winners
Winners of Zeta Phi Beta's 2011 March of Dimes

The 2011 March of Dimes Kickball Tournament took place on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 4:30pm on Withrow Courts. This event was hosted by the Illustrious Xi Rho Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., the Delta Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, and Circle K International. There were over 100 people that participated in the event from volunteering as referees and registering teams to spectators cheering on their respective organizations.

The single elimination tournament consisted of 8 teams: Alpha Delta Pi, Alpha Epsilon Phi, Zeta Tau Alpha, Gentlemen of Distinguished Character, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Love You Like A Sister, Abundant Life Campus Ministries, Circle K, and first place winner Delta Sigma Phi.

March of Dimes is a nonprofit organization that provides resources to expectant mothers to help them bring babies to full term. Their objectives are to decrease infant mortality and birth defect rates in America. The event turned out to be very successful and ladies of Xi Rho can proudly say we rose over $300 for our philanthropy. The kickball tournament was a successful collaborative event and the beginning to an annual philanthropic program for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.

Staff Spotlight: Meet Elissa Christmas!

Elissa Christmas has been with the Cliff Alexander Office for 12 years now; she is a proud Miami alumna too! In brief, she oversees office correspondence, provides general staff support, manages our listservs, rosters and chapter accounts, and serves as our social networking queen and ultimate tweeter!

Elissa is everyone's go-to-gal. If she doesn't have
the answer she'll help you figure out how to find
it. We are so thankful and lucky to have her as a member of our staff!

You can reach Elissa at or stop by and say hi to her the next time you are in Shriver!
