Spotlight on Zeta Tau Alpha

On Sunday, April 7th, Zeta Tau Alpha hosted its annual Pink Ribbon Run 5k. Participants ran or walked a 5k course that began on Central Quad and continued through campus. From this event, the chapter raised $2,200 for its philanthropy, which benefits breast cancer awareness and education. About 140 people attended the event, and they are thankful for all who came out to show support!

Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity is an organization that strives to create a nobler woman through service, scholarship, leadership, and personal growth. The creed encourages members "to prepare for service and learn the nobility of serving, thereby earning the right to be served." ZTA's annual Pink Ribbon Run is just one of the ways that they try to live out this value.

Spring Clean

On April 20th, from 10am-2pm, is the Spring Clean. Spring Clean is an annual event (formerly known as "Greek Spring Clean") where 100+ volunteers from the Fraternity and Sorority community come together to complete 10 service projects across the community, sprucing up everywhere from the alleys Uptown to Talawanda High School. The opening ceremonies will be from 10-11 at Uptown Park. The Mayor of Oxford and representatives from the university will be there!  Feel free to come out and cheer on the volunteers at one of the Fraternity and Sorority community's most treasured events!  Find a full press release HERE.

Pantene Beautiful Lengths Event

The Pantene Beautiful Lengths hair-cutting event takes place Sunday, April 21st, from 1-3:30 on MacCracken lawn! For the past 2 months, the Panhellenic sponsored program has encouraged women to pledge to donate 8 inches of their hair in a campus-wide competition between women's organizations. On Sunday, the 74 (and counting) donors will have their hair cut in large groups. Donors are inviting the people who inspired them to donate to be present and actually cut their hair for them. Come out to watch and support these women in what is sure to be a powerful event and celebration!

Amazing Opportunity to attend a Summer Leadership Conference!

The Cliff Alexander Office is excited to provide an engaging and educational opportunity (at no-cost to participants) to a few members of our fraternity and sorority community.

The Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) and the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV) LeaderShape Institute are week long leadership conferences centered around creating change in the fraternity and sorority community. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with other Greeks from around the country, develop leadership skills and find your fraternal calling. Sessions available throughout the summer.

For details on how to apply, contact Kayte Fry by April 20th at 12pm.

Greeks Doing Good

This new section of the Cliff's Notes will highlight members of Fraternities or Sororities making a difference in the community.  YOU can nominate your brother or sister!  The member chosen to be spotlighted will be notified, and the nomination will be featured in the Cliff's Notes that week.  We encourage you to nominate a brother or sister if they have participated in service events and activities (such as going on a Global Business Brigade), if they have volunteered with the same organization for an extended period of time, or if they have done any other act of good that is worth recognizing.

You can find the nomination form HERE.

We hope you enjoyed this week's Cliff's Notes! We would appreciate any feedback at
