Fire update and ways to help

A wildfire continues to burn near CloudCoin's Northern California HQ, now spanning 141,000 acres (57,000 hectares). The death toll has risen to 63 with over 600 unaccounted. The fire is now approximately 40% contained, but officials fear it will take weeks more to fully suppress.

Many Consortium members and their families have been personally affected, as Sean Worthington shared during his CloudCoin LIVE! update last week, standing only two miles from the fire line with smoke visible in the background.

How you can help
There are several ways to help victims of this tragedy:

A GoFundMe page has been started to help the displaced family of one of our own CloudCoin Consortium software managers.

As we posted last week, the North Valley Community Foundation launched one of the first funds to help fire victims.

The Del Oro Salvation Army is accepting online donations.

The Butte Humane Society is helping reunite pets with their families and is accepting donations to care for displaced pets.

The United Way of Northern California Relief Fund accepts donations by texting "BUTTEFIRE" to 91999.

The American Red Cross and AT&T are accepting donations by texting "CAWILDFIRES" to 90999.
Fire threat prompts innovation
The threat of fire and other natural disasters prompted a innovative design for a fully-mobile RAIDA node.

With fires only miles from his home, Sean Worthington quickly assembled a portable RAIDA node built from a battery, a detection agent and a smart phone.

"This is everything you'd need to become a founding Detection Agent for RAIDATech ," Worthington said, "Not even a natural disaster can bring down the RAIDA. Founders can receive up to 480,000 CloudCoins over the next 24 months. At 10 cents a Cloudcoin that would be worth $48,000."

RAIDAtech wows bankers in Vegas; other upcoming events
Members of the RAIDAtech team met with hundreds of bankers and others involved in cash management during the 2018 Anti-Counterfeiting & Currency Expo in Las Vegas last week, where RAIDAtech was a major sponsor.

RAIDAtech is the private venture developing additional applications for the provisionally-patented RAIDA technology that powers CloudCoin.
Sean Worthington spoke twice during the event and the team met with key industry leaders interested in how RAIDA can offer the world's only 100% counterfeit prevention.

Other key upcoming events

CloudCoin marketing guru Adrian Niculescu will speak at the Blockchain Americas Summit in Miami Nov. 25-Dec 9.

Worthington, meanwhile, has several events planned around the globe.

He will present post-blockchain concepts to the Fortune Asia 2018 summit held in Mumbai Dec. 5.

Worthington also expects to speak at LibertyCon 2019 in Washington, DC January 17-19, where CloudCoin should be a sponsor.

He will be a speaker at COBRA 2019 , an anti-counterfeiting and brand protection event in New Delhi Feb. 5-6.

Worthington is hoping to attend Anarchopulco in Mexico again this year and is in discussions to be a featured speaker during the Feb. 14-17 event.

He will also address international central bankers and others at the Future of Cash event in Athens Feb. 20-21.
Tune in for CloudCoin LIVE! tonight
If smoke and fire conditions allow, Sean Worthington will broadcast Episode 32 live Friday Nov. 1 at 5 pm Pacific Time (12 midnight UTC) to update viewers about the fire situation and general CloudCoin activities. As always, he will answer live questions from viewers.
