Dear Friend of the Club,

This is a very busy time for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County. Summer programming will begin June 8th at all of our Clubs. We are expecting to serve about 600 kids daily at our four locations in the county. We also could not be more happy to announce that our Hartford Boys & Girls Club will be moving into a new building just in time for our summer programming!

At the end of this month our annual "5K for Kids" event will be taking place and we are expecting about 1000 runners/walkers will participate. We look forward to seeing you at this event!

Thank you so much for all that you do in helping the kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Washington County!

Changes in Hartford
Getting Ready to Move

We are excited to announce that our Hartford Club will be moving right before our summer hours begin. The new location will be at former Wells Spring Church in Hartford. We are thrilled about our move to the new building, especially since we will now have the capacity to serve up to 200 kids each day. We would like to thank Redeemer Lutheran Church for allowing us to utilize a portion of their building over the last couple of years. We have enjoyed working with them, but we could not be happier to have a permanent place to call home.

County-Wide Spelling Bee
Kewaskum Club Hosts

On April 16, top spellers from all four of our Clubs gathered at our Kewaskum unit for a Washington County spelling showdown. Each Club had representatives from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. Principal Heipp of Kewaskum Elementary School was our guest pronouncer, while Kewaskum Unit Director, Max Roy, took the seat as head judge. Max Roy said, "It was a great experience to host a county-wide event here in Kewaskum. Seeing the kids compete, test their skills, and receive prizes with smiles on their faces was a great reward as someone who works for this organization".

Featured Club
West Bend

Our West Bend Club members participated in a fun-filled activity in order to learn about our new building. They were split into teams and needed to find Easter Eggs based on clues they were given in each egg. The kids had a blast competing against each other to see who knew the areas of the building the best. They also had a lot of fun learning about the new spaces and rooms along the way.
